About the team
Open Space Maintenance’s role is to provide maintenance services to ensure that parks and recreational facilities are maintained to a high standard and meet agreed levels of service with the Asset Custodians via Partnering Agreements. These maintenance operations are achieved through Area Coordinators, including the planning and implementation of maintenance programs for streetscapes, parklands, sporting fields, and roadsides. We also provide professional advice to various customers on the construction and maintenance of park infrastructure, open space areas and roadsides.
About your new role
The Supervisor Tree Maintenance is responsible for leading and managing specialised arborist teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality tree maintenance services across Council-managed areas. This role oversees daily operations, including reactive and scheduled maintenance, crew deployment, and resource allocation, ensuring work is prioritised according to public safety, asset condition, and community needs.
We're looking for people who have:
Diploma in Arboriculture or Horticulture, or equivalent knowledge and experience
C Class Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
General Construction Induction Card (White)
Demonstrated supervisory experience
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
