About the role

Nurtured Beginnings is seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Cook to join our team on a part-time basis at our Condell Park, NSW location. As a Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care, ensuring they receive the highest quality food to support their growth and development.

What you'll be doing

Plan and prepare a variety of healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children of all ages

Ensure all meals meet relevant nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards

Collaborate with the childcare team to understand the children's dietary needs and preferences

Order, receive, and store all necessary food and supplies

Provide a positive and engaging mealtime experience for the children

Maintain detailed records of all food preparation and service

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications in commercial cooking, catering, or a related field

Experience in a childcare or healthcare setting, with a deep understanding of children's nutritional needs

Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure meals are prepared and served on time

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the childcare team

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs

Passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals to support children's growth and development

Ability to work minimum 5-6 hour shift
