About the role

Part time - 9am to 1pm (4 hours) - 5 days per week

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Cook to join our team at Monash Preschool and Early Learning in Wentworthville, NSW. As a part-time Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks for the children in our care, ensuring their dietary and cultural needs are met.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children in line with nutritional guidelines and any dietary requirements

Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas

Ensure all food storage, handling and preparation practices adhere to relevant food safety regulations

Collaborate with the educational team to incorporate seasonal, sustainable and educational food experiences for the children

Maintain accurate records of food preparation, stock control and menu planning

Contribute to continuous improvement of the food service and menu planning

What we're looking for

Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene practices for early childhood settings

Relevant qualifications and Proven experience in menu planning, food preparation and serving in a childcare or similar setting

Ability to work effectively in a team and independently to deliver consistent, reliable food services
