Posted 9 days ago
We See You is a small, values-driven NDIS provider founded and led by a social worker with a deep commitment to person-centred, trauma-informed care. With a focus on psychosocial disabilities, we offer tailored support that reflects each participant’s unique needs, goals, and strengths, so they can live meaningful, self-directed lives. We pride ourselves on building strong, consistent relationships and delivering services that are both reliable and rooted in genuine care.
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Mental Health Support Worker to join our team as a casual subcontractor.
About the Role
As a Mental Health Support Worker with We See You, you’ll provide one-on-one support to NDIS participants in their homes and communities. Your role will focus on promoting independence, building confidence, and helping participants live meaningful lives.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting daily living activities such as meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
Encouraging routines recommended by allied health professionals
Assisting participants to develop new skills and increase independence in decision-making
Providing companionship, social interaction, and encouragement with goal-setting
Transporting participants to appointments, activities, and social events
Supporting participation in hobbies, classes, and volunteering opportunities
Assisting with everyday administration such as Centrelink appointments, paying bills, or housing applications
Respecting participant preferences, cultural needs, and dignity while encouraging choice and control
Working collaboratively with participants, families, and other providers
Maintaining accurate notes and records
Role details:
Provide both in-home and community-based support
Flexible hours: 6–10 per week to start, with the potential to increase as demand grows
Clients are matched to you based on location and support needs. Together, you’ll agree on regular appointment times (usually once or twice per week), giving you flexibility to balance work with your other commitments. Most workers find they settle into consistent weekly hours with their clients.
While some weekend work may be available, weekday availability is essential.
We See You is a remote organisation with no fixed office. You’ll work independently day to day, with ongoing support and guidance from your supervisor.
