About the role:
In this role, you’ll be managing a varied portfolio of insurance and compensation matters, working closely with clients and colleagues across Sydney and Melbourne.

Your day-to-day will involve:

• Running Workers Compensation, ComCare and Public Liability claims from start to finish.
• Preparing advices for insurers on liability, quantum, indemnity and risk exposure.
• Handling originating motions, damages claims and statutory benefits litigation.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements and obtaining expert evidence.
• Advocating at mediations and managing matters through to settlement or hearing.
• Collaborating with a large, well-established Melbourne insurance team while growing the firm’s Sydney practice.
• Building client relationships with national insurers, including established Sydney-based clients such as SportsCover Australia.

The ideal candidate:

• At least 4 years’ PQE with strong experience in Workers Compensation, ComCare and/or Public Liability.
• Confidence in managing your own matters and building client relationships.
• A commercial mindset, proactive approach, and desire to grow with a supportive national team.
