THE POSITION
We are looking for a professional, personable, and proactive Receptionist / Legal Secretary to join our team and create a welcoming and supportive experience for our clients.
As the face and voice of the firm, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, visitors, and callers. This role goes beyond answering phones and managing appointments, as you will also be responsible for some legal administration duties, supporting the office and the legal team to continue to deliver exceptional services to all clients.
Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with your previous experience and how closely you align with the selection criteria. We anticipate remuneration to be in the range of $60,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic team player with a strong work ethic, strong organisational skills, with previous experience in a reception or administrative role, ideally in legal or a professional services environment.
Key responsibilities
· Manage all incoming telephone calls and direct them appropriately
· Greet all clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
· Maintain a tidy and organised reception area
· Maintain a tidy and organised staffroom facilities area
· Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings
· Facilitate payments by clients
· Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
· Provide administrative support to the ABKJ team as required
· Provide Legal Assistant duties to the ABKJ team including document preparation, scanning, filing, and data entry
Attending to online Titles Office Lodgements
Ordering Stationery and other office supplies
· Maintain confidentiality and always adhere to legal office protocols
What we are looking for
At least 12 months full-time experience in a similar role in Queensland
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly developed time management and organisational skills
Proficient in using standard office equipment and software
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
A friendly, positive, proactive team player attitude
