Christian Home Care is the business arm of Christian Home Church; its mission is to empower our independently living clients in receipt of Home Care Packages through quality support and care to meet their social, physical and emotional needs. Our ethos and model of care are based on the example given to us by our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Christian Home Care is also a registered NDIS provider and we are privileged to support a growing number of NDIS participants as well.
We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Accountant to journey with us and become part of the growing Christian Home Care family.
As the company Accountant, you will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer (CPA, 30 years of Accounting experience).
The role will involve full control of the Company accounts, including payroll processes, along with all-round accounting support to our clients with budgets, Home Care Package / NDIS funds management, queries on services and invoices.
Key responsibilities
Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable (highly automated).
Prepare and process fortnightly payroll.
Process Direct Debits.
Reconciliations, journals and other accounting tasks required to ensure reliable and accurate financial records.
Collaborate with the Director and Case Managers to assess financial impact and guide business decisions.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Continuously improve financial systems and processes to support business growth.
Oversee financial statements, tax filings and regulatory compliance (Payroll tax, BAS, Workers Compensation, Superannuation).
Other duties as directed by the Chief Operations Officer.
We are looking for a warm, positive, enthusiastic individual who understands the importance of providing a superior customer experience.
You have a strong ability to build rapport and proactively resolve queries whilst providing a high level of service to each client. You also have an ability to simplify information which can seem very complex to clients, and communicate it in a clear and articulate manner.

What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2, preferably 5 or more years of relevant Accounting work history
Advanced experience with Reckon Accounts Hosted is a must
Advanced IT skills are a prerequisite – Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
An ability to manage complex situations
High level of organizational skills
Live within 30 minutes commute from / to Ringwood
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Reliable and punctual
A good understanding of the Christian Faith
A high degree of empathy
A police check (or willingness to obtain one)
