About the Role

As the Fleet and Plant Assets Officer, you will:

Manage fleet and plant data and systems.

Undertake procurement activities and projects in compliance with relevant legislation and Council Policies.

Undertake other duties, projects or tasks as directed and in line with relevant skills and competence.

Develop asset lifecycle models and prepare reliable estimates for capital and operational budgets to support long-term financial sustainability and asset renewal planning.

Ensure safety is your first priority.

What You’ll Bring

Degree level qualification in a relevant area including engineering, operations or business.

Experience managing plant and vehicle assets, including knowledge of contemporary fleet strategy, green fleet initiatives, regulatory requirements and whole of life costs.

Demonstrated experience in effective services procurement, contract administration and supervision.

Knowledge of computer systems including familiarity with standard office-based programs.

Awareness of and commitment to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Work Health and Safety (WHS) and a commitment to attend relevant training.

Desirable

Relevant degree or qualifications in engineering including mechanical, industrial or services engineering or equivalent.

Knowledge of asset management principles.
