About the role

Murray Irrigation is seeking an experienced Asset Officer to join our Asset Management team. The Asset Officer (GIS) is responsible for maintaining Murray Irrigation’s Asset Management System (AMS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) by managing and maintaining up-to-date Asset databases.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

Supporting the organisation’s asset management objectives by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of spatial data.

Maintaining AMS and GIS systems.

Supporting and facilitating data system upgrades and maintenance as required.

Supporting asset data collection and providing analysis and mapping services that inform decision-making across the organisation.

Providing onsite technical support.

Providing advice to Water Delivery teams as required.

This is a full-time, ongoing position. The work location for this position is negotiable and may be remote, office based in Deniliquin or a hybrid arrangement.

What you need to succeed

Appropriate tertiary qualifications in GIS or extensive demonstrated experience.

Experience in the operations, administration & customisation of a large GIS.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience with relevant computer and GIS systems (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro and ESRI Web Apps)

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and management of field apps, data collection workflows and user design experience for a range of audiences.

A demonstrated working knowledge of asset management.

Experience with data management systems.

Skills in data analysis and management to achieve project objectives.

Clear and concise communication skills.

Effective project & time management skills.

Ability to work independently.

Current drivers licence.

Salary Range

$67,825 to $79,747 (plus 12% employer super contribution)
