Gold Coast Christian College is seeking a creative, dynamic, experienced, secondary teacher to teach in our Secondary Campus in 2026. A key responsibility of this role involves organising and implementing an inclusive secondary sports program that nurtures the development of students at all skill levels. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical Education, plus a mix of at least one other subject based on the applicants' areas of teaching. Potential subjects could be (Science, HASS, Business/Legal studies, STEM)

Candidates must hold a relevant teaching degree and be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes

Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students

Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals

Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system

Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the college's Christian-based ethos

Be able to plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

A current Working with Children Check / Blue Card must be obtained before commencing in this position.
