Our client based in Sydney CBD is seeking a confident, self-motivated professional to join a dynamic company group during an exciting period of operational change. This role combines financial accounting, reconciliations, intercompany transactions and executive support.

About the Role


Working closely with the Internal Accountant, you’ll manage the books, AP functions and assist with intercompany and bank reconciliations of a Business Group and related properties, combining trading companies, asset holding companies and investment companies.

Alongside finance duties, you’ll support senior stakeholders with support tasks – bookings, checking facts, managing stakeholders, liaising with councils and government departments and sourcing information from other internal and external contacts.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts payable processing and reconciliations
• Bookkeeping and General Ledger reconciliations
• Intercompany/interdepartmental transactions and reconciliations
• Owning the numbers - understanding Balance Sheets and P&L etc
• Executive support, admin, fact-checking, and researching/gathering and presenting information for Directors
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
  

About You

• Proven Accounts Payable and General Ledger Reconciliation experience in Australian businesses
• Exposure to intercompany or inter-department transactions is a benefit
• Some exposure or understanding of Balance Sheet, P&L and being able to own the numbers side of the group
• Proficiency in Xero or similar accounting software
• Strong communication and people skills with the ability to deal with varied personalities
