What you'll do
As a Lecturer in Biomedical Science, you will be a driving force in delivering innovative, student-focused education and contributing to impactful research. As part of the role, you will design and teach courses that integrate cutting-edge scientific knowledge with real-world relevance, particularly in Molecular Biology, Microbiology and/or Human Pathophysiology. Further, you will supervise Honours and postgraduate students and foster collaborative research partnerships. Your role will also involve contributing to the vibrant academic culture at UniSQ through service, leadership, and engagement with industry and the wider community—making a meaningful difference both inside and outside the classroom.
What will help you succeed
- A Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or significant progress towards gaining a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.
- A record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in Biomedical Sciences, particularly in the areas of Molecular Biology, Microbiology and/or Human Pathophysiology and experience in curriculum development at a university level.
- A track record of innovative teaching and collaborative research.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: Toowoomba campus
Term: Full-time, continuing appointment (37.5 hours/week)
Salary: Total remuneration range of $133,256 to $157,504 pa (includes salary range of $112,381 to $132,831 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% salary and annual leave loading)

Note that commencement in this role will be from 19 January 2026
