The advertiser is a supplier of temporary modular B-Class. Structural B’ Class and A Class hoardings, shed platforms and facade retention systems. Our team is experienced and specialised in the design, fabrication and installation of hoarding solutions for clients throughout the greater Sydney region and beyond.

We are looking for a Civil Engineering or Structural Draftsperson to join the team. In this role, you will work closely with your colleagues, engineers and our clients to ensure the required drafting, design and engineering services are provided for every project. You will also manage our team of draftsmen to ensure that the requirements for every project are correctly detailed, amended and recorded.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate/oversee the designs, drawings, plans, fabrication details and other documents for modular B-Class. Structural B’ Class and A Class hoardings, shed platforms and facade retention systems.

Communicate with various stakeholders to ensure appropriate and timely generation of the required design elements.

Manage information flows between clients, colleagues, engineers and the wider drafting team.

Ensure all work adhere to the relevant codes and standards, as well as engineers’ specifications and instructions.

Liaise with design engineer and draftsmen in relation to all design and engineering issues.

Attend site meetings and inspections as required to assist in the set-out, design, engineering and manufacture of our works to the relevant project.

Keep accurate records of all design changes and updates to project documents.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in designing modular B-Class. Structural B’ Class and A Class hoardings, shed platforms and facade retention systems.

Expertise in drafting and design software programs MicroStation and AutoCad.

Knowledgeable about Australian engineering and building regulations, including safety standards.

Proficient in core civil engineering design principles and standards.

Skilled at reading and understanding engineering drawing, technical data and analytical tasks, including fieldwork and calculations.

Positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as alone.

Manage a team of draftsmen.
