About BRAMS
Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that has been delivering comprehensive, culturally safe primary health care to the Broome community for over 45 years.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated professional to join our team and support the social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) of Aboriginal people, families, and communities. This role is all about providing culturally safe, client-centered care while building stronger connections across the community.
About you
To be considered for this role, please submit a cover letter and resume. Your cover letter must address the Selection Criteria below:
- Possession of a Certificate IV in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
- A minimum of three years of proven experience as a registered Aboriginal Health Practitioner within a Primary Health setting.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to function independently or as member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload and time effectively.
- Demonstrated practical experience in the delivery of mental health or SEWB services in Aboriginal communities, within a remote delivery setting.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and attributes with the ability to interact effectively in a highly responsive manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from a diverse range of cultures.
