About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join IHR Australia as a Workplace Relations Specialist Advisor based in our Melbourne office. As a key member of our Workplace Relations team, you will provide expert guidance and strategic advice on all aspects of workplace relations to our diverse client base across multiple industries. We have a diverse range of clients, but we will value a candidate with a background or strong interest in the retail industry.

What you'll be doing

Deliver tailored workplace relations services including interpreting and applying relevant legislation, awards and agreements

Provide advice and support on a wide range of workplace matters such as enterprise bargaining, disciplinary issues, grievances and terminations

Assisting our team to deliver client services in negotiations, conciliations and hearings before tribunals and courts

Assist with the development of workplace policies, procedures and templates

Stay up-to-date with changes to workplace laws and industry developments

Collaborate closely with the wider IHR Australia team to provide holistic HR advisory services

What we're looking for

Significant experience (5+ years) in workplace relations advisory roles, ideally within a consulting, law firm or in-house environment

Comprehensive knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, enterprise bargaining and other relevant workplace legislation

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and commercial advice

Demonstrated success in building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a clear and concise manner

Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

An interest in delivering solutions across a wide range of industries, in particular, the retail industry.

The confidence and capability to offer practical and legally sound advice based on the circumstances of each client.
