We're a small but growing building company looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to manage our day-to-day finances and support the team. You'll need to be confident in Xero and love working with people as much as numbers.
What you'll do:
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Bank reconciliations & cashflow management
- Monthly financial reporting in Xero
- Debtor management & follow-ups
- Supplier & customer relationship management
What we're looking for:
- Min. 2 years' experience in an Accounts Officer role
- Strong Xero skills and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, financial modelling), plus solid understanding of GST, BAS preparation, and Australian accounting standards
- Excellent attention to detail & time management
- Friendly, confident communicator (phone & in person)
- Construction industry experience (advantage, not essential)
- Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification preferred
- Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
What we offer:
- $35 to $38 hourly rate depending on experience
- 20–25 hours per week, over 3 days (school hours friendly)
