About the role

As a full-time, permanent Maintenance Officer at our BaptistCare Graceford Community, you’ll be the go-to person for all things maintenance, ensuring our facilities are top-notch and our clients are happy. Imagine spending your days not only fixing buildings and equipment but also adding a splash of colour to our spaces with your painting skills. • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on buildings, painting, plant and equipment, furniture, fittings, gardens, lawns, and carparks.
• Ensure timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain asset acquisition and disposals in Maintenance Connection.
• Manage site vehicles and loading dock areas.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and Site Manager on budget planning and asset management.
• Purchase and order equipment in accordance with organizational policies.
• Report and manage resident and staff complaints regarding maintenance services.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and BaptistCare policies.

About Graceford

Located in the bushland suburb of Byford, BaptistCare Graceford offers a warm and welcoming place to call home. The facility provides person-centred support for all levels of care. Graceford features 68 individual rooms.Residents can enjoy meals in the communal dining room, participate in activities in the large activity room, visit the hair salon, or unwind in the beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens.

About You

We are seeking hands on property maintenance and experience in preventative and reactive maintenance systems as well as ;

• Experience managing property-related contractors.
• A team player with a can-do attitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fire Safety Officer training (or willingness to undertake) – desirable.
• Experience in an Aged Care or Health Care environment.
• A genuine alignment to BaptistCare’s vision, purpose and values.
