Senior Pharmacist project role - Renal Pharmacy Services in Regional South Australia
SA Pharmacy and the Rural Support Service (RSS) are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacist to lead a project to develop and implement a Model of Care to improve access for renal patients living in regional South Australia to renal pharmacy services. The 6 Regional Local Health networks in South Australia (SA) host 13 dialysis units providing services to over 200 patients. A model of care for renal pharmacy services across regional SA will support improved equity and consistency of access to pharmacy expertise for both patients and the multi D team.

In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the organisation, management, and clinical operation of designated pharmacy areas, providing expert advice to patients, clinicians, and healthcare teams across the SA Health network.
You will exercise professional independence and high-level technical judgment while contributing to service innovation, research, education, and quality improvement initiatives. As part of Statewide Clinical Support Services (SCSS), you will play a critical role in optimising the quality use of medicines and improving outcomes for South Australians, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
About You
You are a registered pharmacist with extensive hospital experience and the ability to lead, innovate and deliver exceptional clinical pharmacy services. Your leadership, communication, and analytical skills are well-developed, and you're ready to contribute to a culture of service excellence.
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with demonstrated leadership or supervisory skills.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in a clinical setting.
Appointment is subject to relevant vaccination and clearance requirements
