The Role:

Are you ready to take volleyball in the NT to the next level?

VNT is on the lookout for an energetic and passionate Sport Development Officer to help grow, promote and support the game we love - from grassroots through to high performance (and everything in between).

As our Sport Development Officer, you’ll be right at the heart of volleyball in the NT and this exciting role will see you:

Drive participation programs and services, with a strong focus on school engagement.

Support clubs and associations in reaching their development goals.

Plan, implement and evaluate high-performance programs.

Build strong relationships with schools, community groups and key stakeholders.

Provide administrative and secretariat support to the VNT Board.

Assist with the care and management of VNT equipment and assets.

This is an incredible opportunity to combine sport development, stakeholder engagement and administration to deliver quality opportunities for players, coaches, referees and volunteers.

You’ll also get to travel across the Territory - Alice Springs, Katherine and Gove (as required), sharing the excitement of volleyball!

Selection Criteria:

Essential –

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

A valid Driver’s License.

A valid First Aid Certificate.

A valid Ochre Card (working with children’s card).

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team.

Clear and professional communication skills.

Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.

Strong commitment to and understanding of Safeguarding of Children and vulnerable members of the community.

Desirable –

Experience in a similar role or industry.

Volleyball Coaching and referee skills.

Volleyball Australia Level 1 Coach & Referee Accreditation.
