About The Role

Our client, a boutique accounting firm with a loyal client base, is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys working independently and is confident reviewing financial information, identifying issues, and providing insights, while still having the support of senior accountants when needed.

You will work with a wide range of clients including individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs, and contribute to both compliance and advisory functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns

Identifying errors, variances, and process improvements

Assisting with cashflow monitoring, debtor management, and business performance review

Exposure to FBT, Div 7A loan agreements, and commercial structures

Liaising directly with clients across multiple industries

Working exclusively in Xero to manage and complete client files

About You

Our client is seeking a motivated and capable Intermediate Accountant who brings:

A solid understanding of accounting compliance and reporting

Confidence working independently once shown systems and processes

Strong attention to detail with pride in producing accurate work

The ability to identify issues, think critically, and problem solve

An organised and proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
