Qualifications & experience

Cert 3 in Painting & Decorating trade qualifications preferable

Experience operating EWPs and hold relevant licenses is preferable

The successful applicant will have a good eye for detail and a sound understanding of colour matching

Proven experience with a variety of paint types and applications- acrylics, solvents, oils, two packs, industrial coatings etc.

Plastering skills and decorative finishes such as texture coatings, troweling, basic rendering/ solid plastering, wall paper hanging etc. are advantageous

The knowledge and experience of Line Marking including operating machines is advantageous

Preferably a minimum of 5 years as a fully qualified tradesperson although we will consider someone with less experience if they have a good work ethic and commitment to working safely.

The ability to work well with others in a team and/or independently is also important.

Manual Driver's Licence is preferred

Must be Fully Vaccinated and have proof

Must be an Australian Citizen and Eligible to get a Defence Contractors Access Card (DCAC)

Must have a Clear Police Check and be able to provide one

Tasks & responsibilities

You will be mainly working on repairs and renovations in a commercial environment. You will work closely with other trades; e.g. plasterers and carpenters.

The main tasks involve: surface preparation, masking, painting (brush, roller, spray), colour matching.

The majority of the work will be in the greater Melbourne Metropolitan Area but some work will be in regional Victoria.
