Join us as one of four IT Project Officers and help deliver the technology that powers our Victorian election network!
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager (and under the guidance of the Technical Specialist) the Project Officer role works as part of the IT Operations Team to ensure the delivery of IT infrastructure and technology solutions within the VEC's election network and election sites. Additionally, the role contributes to the day-to-day operational support of the IT Operations Team.
What You'll Do:
• Be responsible for assigning work to a diverse group of IT specialists that provide fast and effective solutions
• Be directly involved in deploying staff, supporting stakeholders, and improving our IT election infrastructure - on the ground and in the cloud.
• Jump in to triage, troubleshoot , resolve issues, and keep things running smoothly for users and stakeholders at all times
• Work closely with technical specialists, service desk teams, and partners to deliver results under tight timelines
• Support in the commissioning and decommissioning of election venues involving selected travel
• Collaborate regularly and effectively with a diverse group of election staff, IT specialists and partners to achieve mutually positive outcomes
• Positively communicate issues, actions and follow up effectively in person and via online channels to maintain great working relationships with technical and non-technical employees
What You Bring:
• At least 3+ years working experience as an IT Project Officer
• Solid experience supporting Windows and Cloud environments, Microsoft 365, and corporate networks
• Comprehensive knowledge of IT projects as they relate to events
• Clear and engaging communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong prioritisation skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to pivot and change direction quickly if needed
• A passion for continuous improvement and making IT better for everyone
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse group of employees and providers to achieve common goals
• Strong capability in relation to IT projects and the assignment of tasks to individuals and teams
