What They Are Seeking & About The Role
Having assessed that they need to maintain their current growth pattern, the Partnership feel that it is important to attract someone that can fulfil three key objectives:
- Manage the day to day workflow across the division, ensuring all deadlines and commitments are met
- Take ownership of key clients thus providing the Partner with more time to development the practice
- Expand on your teams existing technical knowledge
Looking to take some “pressure” off the partnership, this role has been designed to attract an experienced Manager or Senior Manager looking for more responsibility without the challenge of new business development. While you will still have to deal with clients, all you will be expected to do is identify value added options that are relevant to the client (not just provided to increase fees!!!!) And yes, you have some excellent resources to utilise to ensure the firm can deliver on its commitments.
In this new position, some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the team’s workflow planning
- Become a mentor to some of the current staff
- Review the teams work and identify training needs
- Become the “technical” expert and assist with problems/interpretations
- Work closely with the Partners to ensure the Division is running smoothly
What You Bring To The Firm
Ideally seeking an experienced accounting professional with over eight years experience in public practice within Australia, you will have already acquired your CA or CPA.
As this role requires you to deal directly with the firms major clients, you will need to possess a confident communication style and not be intimidated by senior staff. A desire to take complete “ownership” of a client’s needs is a must.
As part of the role relates to staff development and training, you will enjoy seeing the "fruits of your labour" and gain satisfaction from your contributions to your team's progression.
Remuneration & How To Apply
An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful applicant. As a guide, a base salary in the range of $140,000 to $165,000 can be expected.
