This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership role within a respected design-focused practice, known for delivering innovative, large-scale hospitality and lifestyle projects across Australia.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly capable design architect with strong leadership skills, creative vision, and a passion for hospitality design. You will lead project teams on complex developments ranging from $10 million to $100 million in value and collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders. This role is an opportunity to take complex projects from concept through to hand over.

Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with full work rights in Australia.

As part of the senior management team, you will contribute to the strategic direction of the practice.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture

Registration with the Architects Registration Board NSW or other mutually recognised equivalent governing body.

Experience: 10+ Years of experience in Architectural design, with a focus on project management, team management and on site with significant experience in the hospitality sector

Key Responsibilities

Project Lead, collaborating with clients and leading internal teams

Proposal creation and project planning

Development of detailed design concepts

Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and best practices

Produce and manage high-quality documentation

Presentations to clients

Liase with consultants

Site visits and response management

Lead internal coordination, communication and documentation on projects

Reporting to the directors

Skills and Experience

Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of large, multi-faceted hospitality projects

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and client liaison skills

Understanding of BCA/NCC with the ability to integrate building compliances into the design process.

Ability to convert conceptual designs into buildable elements

Proficiency in Revit is essential

Thorough understanding of documentation workflows

Efficient at managing time and prioritizing critical tasks.

Able to manage and mentor team members
