We are searching for an extraordinary Scheduling Officer to join our commercial home care services in Inner South and Southern suburbs of Canberra.

The Roster Officer will be responsible for:
Building strong connections with staff and clients through excellent communication
Creating, maintaining, and adjusting rosters to ensure the right staff are matched with the right clients
Responding promptly to calls, emails, and roster changes, such as cancellations, no-shows, or urgent shift coverage requests, with efficiency and professionalism
Monitoring staff availability and ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely manner
Maintaining accurate records of staff schedules, changes, and updates
Re-organising priorities quickly to meet the needs of a fast-paced environment
Supporting clients and staff by ensuring continuity and reliability of service
Assisting the team with general administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly
Promoting Right at Home’s values and services when engaging with staff, clients, and community contacts

Qualifications
Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise urgent and competing demands effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with multiple stakeholders under pressure.
Proactive, solution-focused mindset with resilience to manage stressful situations calmly and effectively.
Commitment to client-centred support and a collaborative approach to team-based service delivery.
Preferred Skills
Proven experience in rostering or workforce scheduling in high-volume, time-sensitive environments.
Sound knowledge of relevant award conditions and rostering compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Workforce Management Software (e.g. Visual Care, Xero, or similar)
