Our client, an growing global player in the FMCG sector, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their Group IT team based in Sydney.

About the role

The business has a small IT team to manage an support their Australian & New Zealand operations. They largely run on an array SAAS based products, and lean a lot on their vendors. Office365 is a key app, as is Sharepoint. They also have some big projects in the pipeline as they integrate some new acquisitions and looking to modernise the environments where possible.

The role is a diverse one: sometimes the role will centre on support & BAU; sometimes project based; sometimes hands on; sometimes overseeing the vendor; sometimes looking for ways to optimise & make improvements, often SAAS focused, but occasionally dealing in on prem servers and networks. Sometimes you'll be in deep technically, sometimes you'll be overseeing the work of others.

O365 & SharePoint are key apps in their environment so strong skills with both are important. Equally you'll understand the SAAS landscape. Ideally you'll also know networking & know on prem Windows.

That's technically. We're also looking for someone who is great at interfacing with the business, is happy to play Project Manager as well as technical SME, and can be a little strategic around the evolution of the environment.

We think someone who comes out of an MSP and has to wear a range of hats with a range of clients running a range of tech would be a great fit.

• Someone who comes from an MSP environment and is comfortable wearing a range of hats
• M365 experience spanning exchange, Teams, Entra & SharePoint
• SAAS knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to mange projects
• Good analytical & documentation skills
• A team player, who is able to work independently as well
