A full-time EXPERIENCED travelling Medical Secretary is required for a world-class cardiology provider. This is a unique opportunity requires travel to multiple sites. Monday clinic alternates between Murdoch/Rockingham. Thursday clinic day alternates between Yokine/Armadale.
Administration days can be performed at either Murdoch or Armadale depending on candidate preference.

  • Full-time / Monday - Friday / 38 hours per week
  • Location diversity with partly subsidised parking / travel reimbursement

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinating a specialist's schedule, including all bookings and managing appointments including cardiac procedures and investigations
  • Welcoming patients to the practice
  • Efficiently managing clinics, patient bookings and treatment lists
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice
  • Processing invoices, bills and payments using EFTPOS and Medicare & insurance claims
  • Providing end-to-end administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
  • Reception and other support duties where required.

About you

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical secretary role including coordinating a specialist's schedule, managing bookings and cohesively running clinics
  • Strong medical terminology and cardiology terminology (highly desirable)
  • Competent in the use of medical management software (HealthTrack)
  • Highly organised, able to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively and professionally, whilst also being supportive within a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills both in-person and on the phone
  • High attention to detail and level of accuracy ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information at all times
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Liaising effectively with all stakeholders including hospital and health care providers
  • Precise attention to detail and well-developed computer literacy
  • Issuing patient invoices and receipts, patient quotes, attending to account enquiries, billing Medicare, DVA and health funds
  • Must hold a current Australian driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to other satellite clinics to provide short-term administrative relief at these practices if required
