Qualifications & experience

The successful candidate will possess experience within a Site Engineer position and tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have site-based experience in civil construction

Tasks & responsibilities

Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines. Assist in project planning and scheduling

Site Inspection: Regularly visit the construction site to inspect ongoing work and ensure that it complies with the approved plans, quality standards, and safety regulations

Quality Control: Monitor and manage construction quality, materials, and workmanship to ensure that the project meets the specified standards and codes

Supervision: Oversee construction teams, subcontractors, and laborers. Coordinate and manage their work to ensure tasks are completed as per the project schedule

Safety Compliance: Assist with enforce HSE protocols and regulations on the construction site to protect workers, equipment, and the environment

Cost Management: Monitor project costs and expenses, helping to ensure that the project stays within budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities when possible

Material Procurement: Coordinate with suppliers to order and track the delivery of construction materials, ensuring they are on-site when needed

Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed records of work progress, construction activities, and any issues encountered. Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholder

Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations

Documentation: Keep accurate records of project documentation, including drawings, permits, contracts, and change orders
