Our client is a leading commercial construction & fit-out business with over 20 years experience within the industry. Projects include retail, education, government, hospitality and office spaces.

We are now looking for an experienced estimator with commercial experience to join the team.

Duties

Review design and tender documentation to assess commercial risks and opportunities

Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing

Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to develop effective tender strategies

Manage the daily administration of the firm's estimating needs and meet project deadlines.

Evaluate subcontractor quotes, consider performance history and reliability factors, and negotiate pricing and terms.

Criteria

3 years of work experience as a Construction Estimator in the commercial construction sector

The ability to interpret building plans, specifications, and tender documentation with confidence

Proven capability in preparing clear, accurate take-offs and cost estimates that are easy to review

Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills

A collaborative approach to working within a team during tenders and a willingness to support others
