The Bayview Hotel on behalf of TBV Pty Ltd is looking for experienced cooks or chefs to join our team.

The Bayview Hotel's refurbishment is almost complete and we are excited to re-open our doors in late October. We are putting together a brand-new team and are looking for enthusiastic, qualified chefs to join our kitchen.

The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef who is professional and reliable with a passion for food and a positive team attitude. Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and cooking high quality Modern Australian dishes from our menu to consistently high standards

Assisting the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen including coordinating kitchen operations and workflow and effectively communicating with front of house staff

Assisting in menu planning and development with a focus on budgeting

You must be able to work efficiently, operate well under pressure and be willing to assist with training of junior staff and apprentices

Implementing and strictly adhering to workplace healthy, safety and hygiene regulations

Efficiently managing ordering and kitchen supplies

What we are looking for:

Excellent communication skills and good English is essential

At least two years experience in high volume kitchen along with a Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery and at least one year experience in Modern Australian cuisine in a fast-paced professional kitchen

Display exceptional culinary skills and a genuine desire to prepare and serve delicious food

Demonstrate leadership, attention to detail, strong customer service, and high standard of personal cleanliness and presentation

A thorough understanding and commitment to food safety and hygiene
