About the role

We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. This role involves working on gas civil projects across Greater Brisbane, with a strong focus on excavation in and around live assets. You’ll need to bring proven operating experience, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.

This is a hands-on role that involves physical work and the opportunity to learn new skills in the gas civil industry. If you’re motivated, reliable, and want to grow your career, this could be the role for you.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Safely operating excavators to dig trenches for gas service and mains installation

Excavating around live assets with care and precision

Supporting Crew Leaders and Supervisors with daily site tasks

Site set-up, including signage and traffic management

Assisting with welding and electrofusion welding (training provided if required)

Conducting daily pre-starts on vehicles and machinery

Trench backfilling and compaction

What You’ll Need:

Excavator Licence and proven experience operating around live assets

MR or HR Licence

Construction White Card

Physically fit and capable for a hands-on role

Gas industry experience (pipe laying, trenching, connections) is highly regarded
