Our client is Australia’s largest independent distributor of plywood, timber, laminate, and decorative surface materials for sustainable interior design.

Supplying to cabinet makers, shopfitters, joiners, industrial manufacturers and major resellers, they are recognised as an industry leader with a reputation built on quality, sustainability, and innovation.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales-driven professional to join the business and be responsible for managing an established Sydney territory.

This role will be directly responsible for managing key strategic reseller accounts across large hardware and trade reseller groups to ensure growth in revenue and market share whilst maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

This role offers on-the-road autonomy, giving you the flexibility to run your territory while being supported by a collaborative sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reseller buying groups
  • Achieve sales KPIs and exceed territory growth targets
  • Identify new areas of growth and implement strategies in consultation with the State Sales Manager
  • Execute promotional campaigns, seasonal programs, product launches, and pricing strategies in collaboration with marketing and national sales teams.
  • Provide product training, education, and sales support to reseller teams and their customer base.
  • Monitor inventory, stock turns, forecasting, and category management to optimise supply chain efficiency and store performance.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing structures, rebates, and business development initiatives with head office and store-level stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting on sales performance, category trends, and account profitability.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales experience in account management and business development
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Proven previous account management experience within the reseller, hardware, or trade distribution sector.
  • Existing relationships within Mitre 10, Danks, HBT, National Builders, or similar buying groups.
  • Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, and contract management capability.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to influence at both store and executive levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex commercial discussions.
  • Current, valid Australian driver’s licence
