About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and motivated full-time Pharmacist to join our

community-focused pharmacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring

the safe, legal, and effective provision of pharmacy services in line with the Quality Care

Pharmacy Program (QCPP) and Australian healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and interpret prescriptions, meticulously checking patients' medicine histories to ensure optimal dosage, administration methods, and drug compatibility.

Accurately dispense prescriptions and provide comprehensive counselling to patients on the safe and effective use of their medication.

Prepare, compound, and supervise the preparation of a range of medications (including liquids, ointments, and creams) ensuring all labelling complies with legal and professional standards.

Advise medical prescribers on potential drug incompatibilities and contra-indications to ensure patient safety.

Review and monitor the medicine therapy of individual patients to assess its effectiveness and provide professional services such as Dose Administration Aids (DAAs) and health screenings.

Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, including the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP), Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), and pharmacy legislation.

Manage the secure storage and accurate record-keeping of narcotics, poisons, and habit-forming drugs, and ensure the correct storage of vaccines, and other perishable medicines.

Maintain high standards of inventory management, including stock accuracy, rotation, and implementing medication safety protocols to minimise errors.

Supply and advise customers on the use of non-prescription medicines, diagnostic aids, and therapeutic products.

Supervise, coordinate, and support the professional development of Pharmacy Technicians, interns, and sales assistants within the team.

Deliver exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with patients and the local community.

Candidate Requirements

- A relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification

- Hold a current and unrestricted General Registration with AHPRA

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a community pharmacy setting

- Demonstrated understanding of Australian therapeutic guidelines

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- Strong communication skills in English and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese is

advantageous

- Willingness to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 6:00pm. Saturday 9am – 4pm

Desirable Attributes

- Ability to speak Vietnamese, Chinese (Mandarin, and/or Cantonese)

- Strong leadership and organisational skills

Employment Terms

This is a full-time position with a competitive annual salary ranging from AUD $78,000 to $88,000 commensurate with experience and skills.
