About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to lead quality assurance for medical device reprocessing across a diverse regional health district. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure services meet standards and deliver safe and efficient care. You’ll collaborate with clinicians, managers, and executive teams to drive continuous improvement, influence policy development, and shape best practice across a wide range of reprocessing units - from central sterilising services to endoscopy and dental.

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible and accountable for:

  • The provision of high level strategic and operational advice to the respective clinicians, managers and executive teams providing leadership and advice on evidence based medical device reprocessing within Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).
  • Ensuring that all services with medical devices and/or reprocessing departments and units within MLHD are managed in accordance with current standards and policies as to provide a quality service delivery, based on best practice.
  • Coordination, development and implementation of systematic reviews and strategic plans for reprocessing services and practices in collaboration with operational managers.
  • Providing advice and representing the specialty on strategic and operational planning committees at district and local level.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Class C drivers licence, with willingness to travel as necessary across our District.

  • Proven experience working in Operating Theatres and/or Reprocessing Services
  • Strong leadership in quality improvement initiatives, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and organisational outcomes
  • Excellent research skills and a clear understanding of the need for policy development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams
