About the role:

Ashley Cooper Construction is growing, with projects ranging from $2M to $30M across the hospitality and education sectors. We deliver a mix of contract types, and with this growth we’re seeking a Project Manager to take ownership of complex projects and lead a dedicated team.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, safely, and to the highest quality. This role offers the chance to mentor team members, collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and advance your own career within our expanding project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing projects end-to-end, from pre-construction through to handover and defect liability

Leading and mentoring project teams to achieve successful outcomes

Ensuring compliance with building specifications, standards, and WHS requirements

Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders

Leading tender interviews, contract administration, and subcontractor negotiations

Overseeing project delivery systems and construction programmes

Managing project finances, reporting, and identifying profit improvements

What You Bring

Strong tenure and experience in commercial construction (hospitality and/or education project experience is a bonus)

Solid understanding of project lifecycle, procurement, contracts, and cost management

Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work autonomously and within a team
