About the role

Serenity Care Support Coordination Pty Ltd is seeking dedicated support staff to join our team on a casual basis. As a Support Staff member, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and assistance to our clients in the following areas Blacktown Campbelltown Wollongong area. This position is suitable for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in the aged and disability care sectors.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Providing companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in social activities and outings

Monitoring clients' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns to the care coordination team

Advocating for clients' needs and ensuring they receive the appropriate services and support

Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 6 months of experience in aged care, disability support, or a similar healthcare setting (or willingness to complete training for entry-level candidates)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine passion for supporting the elderly and those with disabilities

Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

A current First Aid certificate (essential) and a valid driver's license are highly desirable

NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)

Working with Children Check (essential)

Police Check (essential)

Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa with appropriate work rights

Physical capability to assist with mobility, transfers, and personal care tasks
