About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Client Engagement Officer to join a busy front-line service team supporting the community. This role offers variety, working across three key areas on a rotating basis:

Call Centre: handling high-volume client calls and completing related admin tasks.

Client Access Point: providing face-to-face assistance, managing enquiries, and monitoring a central inbox for applications.

Rebates: processing annual rental rebates (approx. 18,000 per year), including calculating tenants’ rent over a 12-month period.

You will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive timely, respectful, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver responsive, client-centred support across phone, email, and in-person channels.
  • Escalate or refer clients with special needs to appropriate services.
  • Respond to concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
  • Provide high-level administration support including managing email inboxes, rental documentation, and applications.
  • Maintain accurate records and track documentation across internal systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support positive client outcomes.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience providing quality customer service to a diverse client base.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence using business and office software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusive workplace practices.

Requirements

  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
  • National Police Check (can be completed upon offer, prior to commencement).
