Our Client:
A world-leading factory automation and robotics solutions provider is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join their QLD team.
In this role you will combine your engineering skills with a strong commercial mindset to promote the company's innovative solutions. With a 60/40 focus on account management and new business, you'll help drive continued growth to the highest-performing region across APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow key accounts while developing new business opportunities.
* Drive projects from $20K through to $1.5M+, across both short and long sales cycles (6-24 months).
* Sell a diverse portfolio: robotics, IoT, machine vision, control and safety systems, motion & drives and automation systems.
* Build strong relationships with end users, OEMs, system integrators, and reseller partners.
* Collaborate with Applications Engineers and product specialists to deliver tailored client solutions.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitors and emerging technologies that drive growth.
* Maintain accurate pipeline records and deliver on sales targets and KPIs.
About You:
You're a motivated, positive and commercially driven sales professional with a passion for technology and automation. You thrive on autonomy, enjoy being on the road engaging with clients and have the persistence to succeed in short to long-cycle, solution-based selling.
You bring:
* Bachelors degree in electrical, mechatronics or a related engineering discipline (ideally)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in sales within automation, control systems, mechatronics, electrical, or related industries.
* Strong commercial drive with proven success in account management and new business development.
* Technically competent (automation, robotics, drives) but with a focus on solution-based selling.
* Confident managing both shorter and complex, longer-cycle projects.
* Excellent communication skills with strong relationship-building skills and a proactive, positive mindset.
