We’re looking for an experienced Prep & Production Chef to take on a unique full-time role split between our Bakehouse and Garage kitchens. The role offers variety, stability, and the chance to work across two of Palmwoods’ most iconic food spots.

The Role

Bakehouse: Cover the RDOs of our full-time Bakehouse Chef, focusing on cabinet production — from house-made sausage rolls and wraps to toasties, frittatas, and sweets.

Garage: Support the team with prep, stock management, and keeping service running smoothly.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has 2+ years’ experience in prep, production, or café/restaurant kitchens

Is confident with both savoury cabinet production and kitchen prep

Works efficiently, with strong knife skills and attention to detail

Keeps a clean, organised kitchen and understands food safety & hygiene standards

Thrives in a team environment but can also work independently

Key Responsibilities

Preparing and baking savoury cabinet items (sausage rolls, wraps, toasties, frittatas, etc.)

Assisting with a small selection of sweets and cabinet restocks

Prepping ingredients, maintaining stock levels, and supporting service in the Garage kitchen

Keeping prep areas tidy, safe, and well-organised
