About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Corporate Accountant who is fluent in both English and Korean to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role in managing our company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting key business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, be proficient in financial software, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with International Financial and Reporting Standards.
Prepare and coordinate payroll processing.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support departmental budgets.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with state, and federal government reporting requirements, monthly and quarterly tax (payroll tax, BAS) filings and annual tax (FBT and Income Tax) preparation.
Support the development and implementation of new accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency.
Preparation of the global profit and loss report presentation in Korean.
Provide Korean <–> English interpretation for CEO’s key meetings when necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean is a must.
2-5 years of experience in a corporate accounting or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
