About the role

Use your grant research, writing and management expertise to identify and secure external funding that supports impactful projects and enhances the quality of life across our community.

As Senior External Funding Officer you will play a key role in identifying funding opportunities, coordinating grant applications and monitoring funded projects. You will also foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and long-term collaboration.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of grant applications and funded programs
  • Evaluate funding opportunities and interpret guidelines to support internal decision-making
  • Monitor project milestones and ensure compliance with funding agreements and reporting
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including funding bodies
  • Prepare performance reports and updates for senior leadership and elected officials
  • Analyse financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and grant acquittals

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in grant research, writing and management
  • Experience with project scheduling tools and stakeholder engagement practices
  • A thorough understanding of government funding guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Financial literacy skills and data-analysis experience

This is a permanent full time position, with a salary commencing at $110,838 plus 12.5% superannuation.
