Key Responsibilities

- Develop and optimise polymer formulations and processing techniques

- Conduct chemical and physical testing using DSC, GC-MS, FTIR, and other analytical tools

- Perform tensile, flexural, melt flow index, and viscosity testing to assess material performance

- Prepare Certificates of Analysis and Compliance for finished products

- Troubleshoot material and process issues during manufacturing

- Support recycled PET product testing and development

- Conduct quality control testing and ensure regulatory compliance

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports for audits and compliance

- Collaborate with production and sales teams to resolve technical challenges

- Assist in implementing sustainable product lines and innovation initiatives

- Authorise and review quality control documentation for internal and external use

- Monitor chemical properties and performance of polymer-based materials under varying conditions

About You – Qualifications and Experience

- Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering

- 5+ years' experience in polymer-related roles

- 3 years’ experience as a research and development (R&D) chemist in Polymer related material development.

- hands on experience in formulation and compounding of:

Polyolefins - e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene

Polyamides -_e.g. nylon 6, nylon 6,6

Polyesters - e.g. PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and PET (polyethylene terephthalate)

- Skilled in analytical instrumentation and polymer testing

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

- Experience with recycled or sustainable materials is a plus
