Speech Pathologist – Dyslexia & Literacy Focus
Location: Montmorency, Melbourne's North-East
Salary Range: $82,000 – $90,000 + super (FTE)
Professional Development: $1,500 per year + in-house training
About Little Voices Speech Pathology
At Little Voices Speech Pathology (LVSP), we specialise in helping children with dyslexia and literacy difficulties. Our caseload is predominantly school-aged students with a dyslexia diagnosis or significant reading, spelling, and writing challenges. We also see younger children with early speech and language needs.
Led by Elise Cassidy, an experienced speech pathologist with advanced training in dyslexia assessment and structured literacy intervention, our practice is well known for its supportive, family-centred approach. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality therapy and empowering families to understand and navigate dyslexia.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist (minimum 3 years out) who has:
Experience in literacy therapy (using structured, evidence-based approaches), and
A strong interest in dyslexia, with a desire to deepen your expertise.
This is an opportunity to be part of a small, close-knit team where you'll receive:
Extensive mentoring and training in dyslexia assessment, therapy, and advocacy, directly from Elise.
A generous PD allowance of $1,500 per year to pursue your own learning goals.
Regular supervision and team support.

What You'll Do
Conduct diagnostic assessments and deliver high-quality literacy and language therapy.
Work with school-aged children with dyslexia, as well as younger clients with early speech and language needs.
Provide therapy in-clinic, in schools, and occasionally via telehealth.
Collaborate with families and schools to ensure children are supported in all settings.
About You
We're looking for a clinician who is:
Passionate about literacy, dyslexia, and structured approaches to reading.
Skilled in supporting children with reading and spelling challenges.
Eager to learn, grow, and refine expertise with the guidance of a mentor.
Confident working independently but values being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
Organised, reliable, and genuinely enjoys working with families.
Essential Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Current Working With Children Check.
Minimum 3 years clinical experience, including literacy therapy experience.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
