Crown Property Services are seeking cleaners to support our cleaning operations within a correctional facility in Ararat, Victoria. This is ideal for people seeking a sea change and the opportunity to work in a processional and rewarding environment.

Position: Cleaner
Location: Ararat
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Casual, with full-time availability. Monday to Friday, including weekends and public holidays as required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a cleaning team member, you will be maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe environment within a secure facility. You will be inducted, trained and mentored to succeed. You will need to have good knowledge of general cleaning processes and safe ways of working. You will have a desire to learn and develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.

Ensuring high standards are consistently met.

Support the team in achieving daily deadlines as they arise, beyond the regular cleaning schedule.

Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Flexible to accept additional shifts, as and when required.

About You:

Proven experience in a cleaning role is essential.

Good working knowledge of cleaning protocols, chemical safety and infection control.

Strong attention to detail & ability to work autonomously in a structured and compliant environment.

Physically fit with the ability to carry out manual tasks.

Must be comfortable working in a secure, high-surveillance environment.

Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.

Good attitude, respectful and professional in the workplace.

Mandatory Requirements:

National Police Check (current or willing to obtain)

Must pass the Precinct’s Security Clearance and Background Check

Current driver’s licence.

Work rights in Australia.
