Bar Manager – The Gardens at Bullimah

Are you organised, practical, and calm under pressure?
We’re looking for a hands-on Bar & Venue Manager to oversee set-up and bar operations at The Gardens at Bullimah. This role is about making sure our weddings and events run seamlessly — from preparing the venue, leading staff, and keeping service smooth, to handling the unexpected with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee on-site operations during weddings and events

Manage set-up and pack-down of furniture, décor, and venue infrastructure

Supervise and support casual bar staff during events

Ensure the bar and venue remain clean, orderly, and guest-ready (including liaising with cleaners)

Coordinate with the kitchen for smooth meal service

About the Role

0.6 FTE role (salary $78,400 FTE / $47,040 pro rata)

Work more hours during peak wedding season (Oct–May)

Enjoy 3 months paid leave from June to September with annualised salary

Must be available weekends and for longer shifts as required

Flexibility outside of event days

Be part of a supportive, collaborative team in a stunning garden venue

What We’re Looking For

Experience in bar and hospitality management

Strong time management, problem-solving, and people skills

A positive, can-do attitude and calm approach under pressure

Willingness to assist with hands-on tasks (furniture set-up/pack-down)

Confidence leading and motivating casual staff

Pride in delivering high-quality service
