YOUR NEW ROLE
This leadership role is responsible for guiding the delivery of events and production management services, ensuring they align with the Opera House’s artistic vision and strategic goals. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the role leads a diverse team of specialists to provide outstanding service, building inclusive, collaborative relationships with all hirers and stakeholders to understand and meet their needs. It also champions continuous improvement across the Production and Events portfolio, working closely with internal teams and external partners to enhance operations and drive positive change in systems and processes across all event delivery spaces.

ARE YOU THE ONE?
We are looking for someone who can:
Provide strategic and operational leadership in production and event management, aligning technical planning and delivery with the Sydney Opera House’s artistic and business objectives.
Lead and develop a diverse team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, fostering a culture of safety, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
Deliver complex events across multiple venues by managing crewing, bump-in/bump-out logistics, and third-party services ensuring compliance with WH&S legislation, risk management protocols, and Enterprise Agreement requirements.
Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal departments, hirers, and external partners to deliver exceptional service and meet diverse stakeholder needs.
Utilise expertise in live performance production including advanced skills in VectorWorks (or equivalent), Momentus, and the Microsoft Office suite, to manage technical drawings, event logistics, and production budgets.
Apply your project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills to balance competing priorities, resolve operational challenges, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes.
