About the role

Lighthouse Christian College - Keysborough is seeking a full-time Classroom Teacher (Primary) to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering a parental leave period commencing in Term 1, 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of primary school students in a supportive Christ Centered and values-driven environment.

What you'll be doing

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum

Establishing a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and learning

Assessing student progress and providing timely, constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth

Collaborating with the teaching team to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning

Actively participating in school events, professional development, and community initiatives

Maintaining accurate student records and complying with all school policies and procedures

What we're looking for

A bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification with current VIT Registration

A minimum of 3 years' experience as a primary school classroom teacher

Strong pedagogical skills and a deep understanding of the primary curriculum

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

A demonstrated commitment to professional development and a passion for continuous learning

Alignment with the school's Christian ethos and a willingness to contribute to the broader community of the college
