The Role:

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for driving both accuracy and efficiency in financial operations? Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Finance Manager (Systems Focus), where you’ll enhance the precision of our accounts and optimise the systems that power our financial reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to combine accounting expertise, systems innovation, and leadership in a fast-paced environment in a 12 month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Accurate Financial Operations: Analyse business transactions and processes to improve data flow into financial reports, applying a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Optimise Systems for Efficiency and Accuracy: Critically evaluate financial systems and recommend solutions to enhance performance and reliability.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with finance, IT and operations to align stakeholders and implement robust system improvements that prioritise accuracy.

Implement and Refine Solutions: Lead the rollout of approved recommendations, monitor outcomes, and continuously improve processes to maintain high standards of efficiency and precision.

Support Financial Close Processes: Contribute to month-end and year-end accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting through meticulous application of accounting principles.

Deliver Actionable KPI Reports: Produce clear, concise, and accurate KPI reports for the CEO and leadership team on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Lead and Mentor: Guide and inspire a small team, fostering a culture of accuracy, collaboration, and high performance.

Adapt to Business Needs: Take on ad hoc projects to support strategic objectives, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.

About You:

Strong understanding of accounting principles, with experience ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Proven expertise in financial systems and process optimisation.

Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably NetSuite) is essential.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across finance, IT, and operations teams.

Ability to mentor and help develop a small team.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
