This Coach – Swim Squad is responsible for the collaborative design and delivery of programs that enhance competitive performance and athletic growth. This position works with winning national and state squad coaches to develop junior swimmers and unlock their potential to grow, progress through squads and turn talent into triumph.

âś… YOU WILL
Plan and deliver squad program sessions at a competitive level relevant to the squad
Assist with coaching other squads, programs or swimmers as required
Champion a culture of co-operation, mutual support, and respect amongst squads
Support participation at local and regional competitions, meets and club nights
Actively contribute to compliance, health and safety, and risk management matters
Support with Squad and Aquatics administration
Contribute to pool operations maintenance and management

Coaching accreditation Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA)
Demonstrated capacity to improve and motivate athletic performance, attract elite athletes, and effectively manage athlete development and performance.
Well-developed organisational, time management, and operational skills to develop and maintain efficient, financially self-sustained, and well regarded programmes.
Commitment to foster professional relationships within the Somerset community coupled with a positive engaging Aquatic Centre environment.
Working with Children blue card and First Aid certification
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks, including bending, and lifting
