About Our Client
Our client is seeking a dedicated nurse practitioner to join the clinical team at a leading correctional facility in Grafton. The site is a large, purpose-built maximum-security prison, housing both male and female inmates across various security classifications. The facility is known for its advanced infrastructure, integrated healthcare model, and commitment to rehabilitative and reintegration programs.
What you will be doing
Provide primary and emergency healthcare to inmates
Promote rehabilitation and support reintegration
Conduct health assessments and manage acute and chronic conditions
Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests
Develop care plans and educate patients on managing their health
Ensure a safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive care environment
What you will need
Current AHPRA registration as a nurse practitioner
Minimum 4 years of post-graduate RN experience
Experience in primary health, emergency, or correctional healthcare (preferred)
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Completed COVID-19 vaccinations (Dose 1 & 2 mandatory)
National Police Clearance (within the last 3 months)
Willingness and ability to pass security clearance
Strong understanding of cultural diversity and inclusive care
Nurse Immuniser recognition in NSW or willingness to obtain

Minimal night shifts – site has permanent night nurses
Competitive salary: $148,753 – $155,293 + shift penalties + super @ 11.50%
6 weeks of annual leave for shift workers
